High health status of animals as an integral condition for highly profitable pork production at APK-INVEST’s enterprises
We call your attention to the third part in the series of publications about technologies of efficient pig breeding at APK-INVEST, which at present moment reproduces up to 300 thousands pigs per year and by 2015 it plans to reach the full capacity due to fattening – 600 thousands heads per year. How do they manage to increase the pork production volumes without detriment to animal productivity so quickly? The high health status of animals is one of the major factors that provides with highly profitable meat production but the arrangement of the new sector is accompanied by a great number of stress factors for livestock. Aleksander Gotsay, chief doctor of veterinary medicine at APK-INVEST, tells about the ways to settle the abovementioned contradictions.
