The existing animal-breeding complexes of APK-INVEST allow for the commercial breeding of 520,000 pigs a year (or 273,000 head kept simultaneously). This makes APK-INVEST an undisputable leader in the commercial pig breeding of Ukraine. APK-INVEST's animal-breeding complex has the status of the pedigree multiplication farm for the Landrace breed. The total population of sows was more than 22,000 head in 2015. Today, the company’s own bred animals make up 80% of its livestock population.
The qualitative results of APK-INVEST's specialists in large-scale production are comparable with those of the best European farms.
The investments into animal breeding have totalled UAH 1.5 billion.
